The main swimming pool near Whitsunday Terraces reception, beside the bar and restaurant, has wonderful views over Airlie Beach and out to sea.
There is also a reasonable sized raised spa on the western side of the pool area. Please, do not take glass anywhere into the pool area. Leave glasses and bottles at the bar.

The main swimming pool was emptied in May 2008 for extensive repairs to the waterproof membrane lining and to the tiles. The water level tiles were all chiselled off the sides of the pool. I believe the underwater lighting was also replaced at the same time.
This involved removing all the ceramic tiles. Then stripping the waterproof membrane off the whole pool. It was a very messy and lengthy process before the membrane was removed. Then the whole process had to be reversed, with a new membrane and new tiles. I believe the contractor was Carle Parkhill of Splash Pools, who were to repair, waterproof and seal the pool with Quatzon.
There is also a reasonable sized raised spa on the western side of the pool area. This is surrounded by a wooden deck that needs periodic cleaning and protective painting with a wood finish.
Please, do not take glass anywhere into the pool area. Leave glasses and bottles at the bar.
